Tis the season to be Merry and BERRY...As fall festivities come to a close, we begin to prepare for the most wonderful time of the year. The Christmas Season. Here's a great project to recycle fall pine cones and turn them into rustic holiday projects. All you need are some pine cones and cherry red berries to bring these fallen beauties back to life.

DIY Pine Cone Wreath is the perfect accessory to your holiday decor. In under an hour, you will have a holiday masterpiece. So lets' scroll down and get started....

Materials

Pine Cones (Look in your yard, on a hike or at the craft store)
Large Floral Wire Wreath (Any craft store)
Red Berry Holiday Picks (Any craft store)
Silver Floral Wire (Any craft store)

Step One

Line a bunch of pine cones around the wreath's inner border.

Step Two

Begin attaching the pine cones to the wire wreath with floral wire. Jut wrap around the pine cone and twist the wire around the wreath.

Step Three

Next attach the pine cones to the outside border of the wreath. Then fill in the inside of the wreath. Continue until you cover the entire wreath with pine cones.

Step Four

Finally Insert red berry picks into the wreath. Attach with floral wire.

Tips and Ideas:

Secure any loose pieces with hot glue or clear caulking glue.
Sprinkle the wreath with clear glitter for a frosted effect. Just brush parts of the pine cones and berries with mod podge, sprinkle with clear glitter. Shake off excess.
Try different berry picks and colors. Use pre-frosted berries.
Spray paint pine cones white or color of choice.
Add a burlap or holiday ribbon to it.
